For more than 37 years, Doug Lane has been part of the health and fitness community on Amelia Island. What began in 1988 as Lane’s Fitness Center has grown and evolved into Club 14 Fitness—a locally owned, full-service fitness facility built around a simple idea: create a great place to work out, and an even better place to belong.
Doug’s experience reaches well beyond the fitness industry. Throughout his career, he has built and led businesses, managed large-scale operations, worked in corporate executive leadership, and developed deep roots throughout Nassau County and Northeast Florida.
Through every chapter, one principle has remained consistent: build strong relationships, take care of people, and create something that brings lasting value to the community.) also have to use acf groups for this could you help me map those out for a template for each team member
Doug founded Lane’s Fitness Center in Fernandina Beach in 1988 and spent the decades that followed growing the business alongside the community it served. By 2000, the facility had expanded to more than 14,000 square feet and developed into a comprehensive health club offering strength and cardio equipment, group fitness, functional training, recovery amenities, childcare, locker rooms, and more.
In 2025, Lane’s Fitness Center entered its next chapter as Club 14 Fitness—bringing a fresh identity to a business whose commitment to its members has remained constant.
Doug’s professional career also includes more than three decades as the owner and CEO of Hamco Homes, Inc., as well as executive leadership experience with Florida Public Utilities and Chesapeake Utilities Corporation.
